This week I managed to import the new character animations that Chris Mills had made, which are looking much better than before. Our player character looks much more fluid as he runs and slides around. The super jump animation in particular adds the feeling that our character is hurling through the air.
I had also experimented with animating the squid boss's tentacles. I have to primarily use rotations to control the positions of each segment of the tentacle, which is going to require some interesting calculations. I mocked up a very quick idle animation, which is just having the tentacle move from side to side.
