After finishing up some code cleaning for the first boss, I’ve started drafting out mechanics and abilities for the second boss. The first of these abilities being a new type of deadly projectile, the laser drone. So far I’ve made two laser drones, both seek a position high in the air, then emit a laser shooting out directly below it. The first drone will then chase the player itself, trying to box you in with the laser, while the second drone will suddenly rotate upwards by 180 degrees over a few seconds, trying to slice you with the laser.
We also had the great idea of spawning a bunch of laser drones which cage the player in a circle, getting larger and smaller in radius and moving randomly on X and Y to force the player to stay within the bounds.
