We are now entering the final phase of production for the year. We set our goals on Monday and the first thing I needed to do was concept the 3rd boss, and the area for it. We decided that it would be a bad idea to fully create a third boss fight. So instead we will craft a literal 'work in progress' just to show players what will be there. Aside from that I also created a very quick stagger animation for the Howler boss.
Initial concepting for ideas for the 3rd boss. We knew we wanted some sort of bipedal mech.
After deciding on the silhouette I tried to figure out how any of it would look.
After adjusting the direction of the arms and blade, I quickly modeled a mock up in Maya to better figure out the form.
