Developer Update (Gold): Simon Jiang - Week 1

Coming into the first week of gold, we wanted to focus on polishing our first boss interaction and other known issues so that we can submit to two competitions, Game Development World Championship and Independent Games Festival. To that end, I was mainly focusing on doing minor tweaks, such as adjusting music volumes, balancing weapon values, and adding dust particles and sound effects to player movement. I also played with lighting in our main level to brighten certain surfaces up, such as signposts. Finally, I created a short gameplay trailer for the competitions, which I feel like turned out pretty well.
